We require credit card details with an expiry date after your booking date to confirm your reservation. A 20% deposit is taken at time of confirmation and the balance is payable on arrival. No other charges will be made to your card until your arrival or if the cancellation policy applies.

Check in is after 2:30pm and check out is by 11am. As we may not be in attendance when you arrive we need an estimated arrival time so we can make arrangements for the key. Earlier and later check outs may be possible by arrangement.

In the event you need to cancel your booking:

If you cancel outside of 2 weeks from your booking date there is no cancellation fee, other than the deposit.

If you cancel within 2 weeks there is a 50% cancellation fee.

If you cancel within 24 hours of your booking there is a 100% cancellation fee.

These cancellation fees are at the discretion of Apartment at 40. We will make every effort to re-book the accommodation and if successful the cancellation fees will not apply.

We use a third party to handle our reservations and process credit card details securely online www.availability.co.nz. At no stage are your credit card details e-mailed or transmitted insecurely.Your booking is transmitted and entered into our booking system using 128 bit SSL encryption and your credit card number itself is entered into the system in an encrypted format. We are only able to retrieve and unencrypt your card number through the same 128 bit SSL encryption using our login and password details..
